Premium Health is looking for an outstanding Payroll Manager to join our Finance department.

Premium Health’s Finance department is based at our Monsey Administration office and is responsible for managing and maintaining payroll for 200 employees. The Finance department is made up of a Fiscal Director and 5 team members and is projected to grow. The Payroll Manager will play a major role as part of the team and should work together with the Finance department to uphold Premium Health’s standards of C.A.R.E: always being Compassionate, Agile, Respectful, and Excellent.

This position will manage the company’s commuter benefits program, 403(b), FSA, PTO policy per HR guidelines, all invoicing, and the balancing of all wages at year end before distributing W2s to employees. On a day-to-day basis, the Payroll Manager will ensure that payroll schedules are maintained and that all payrolls run on time and with extreme accuracy, including reconciling bank and organizational records. In addition, they will process all transactions in compliance with state and federal payroll regulations, including federal, state and local tax reports, i.e. tax withholdings and unemployment insurance reports.

Other responsibilities include:

·        Managing workflow and proactively identifying and resolving issues, understanding and executing all functions required for the payroll process, balancing the workload, and assuring all critical functions are covered on a daily basis

·        Meeting all payroll deadlines, providing feedback as well as implement new procedures in order to improve the quality and consistency of the work performed and ensuring all payroll transactions are processed in accordance with finance policy

·        Modeling an outstanding customer service mindset, fostering a supportive environment for team members to grasp the concepts of effective customer service

·        Ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll updates including new hires, termination,and changes to pay rates. Ensuring accurate deductions including, 403(b), HSA,FSA, etc.

·        Partnering on new hire/open enrollment to ensure accuracy of deductions and elections

·        Ensuring accuracy of timesheet data for hourly and non-exempt staff

·        Preparing salary components of grant vouchers and all related backup, and assisting with other audit prep

·        Preparing analyses of payroll data upon request to Finance and HR, and partnering with HR in maintaining benefits interface with payroll

·        Providing prompt and efficient customer service to all employees regarding payroll questions/issues

Time Commitment:

·        Part Time or Full Time

·        Minimum 24 hours per week to 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

·        Must commute to Monsey Office location 1x per month

·        Up to 2 days remote


Responsibilities:
Requirements:

·        Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in corporate environment

·        Must commute to Monsey Office location 1x per month

·        Formal training or equivalent experience in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Finance, Business or related field

·        Exposure to Payroll of 100+ employees (Bi-Weekly) 

·        Office 365 or similar suites

·        Advanced competency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables& VLOOKUP) or similar software

Preferred:

·        ADP Workforce knowledge

·        Ability to foster innovation by connecting the dots and developing new insights that support the organization’s mission and goals. Actively support continuous learning on the team

·        Ability to provide problem resolution for moderately complex issues escalated from team members

·        Demonstrate effective collaboration and integration with councils, other business units, external consultants, and vendors to support ongoing work. Sets high expectations and offers constructive feedback

·        Strong analytical skills
